"it is a good boat: the hull is like a bistro. It is down to weight and well sorted out but it does not have a snout and it has not been widened"

Remorque combi mise à l'eau/route

"Hello!
3 photos of the boat to help with descriptions!
I think it was built in 1996 just before the 97 rules. However it then underwent a major refit in either 2000 or 2001... I have owned it since early 2003 and in reality sailed it very little due to other commitments in life. The mast and boom are something to be amazed by. Made professionally by Roger Angell of Angell Boats. The lower spreaders are a strange shape due to them originally being at the wrong deflection this however does give the boat a fair amount of character, and something for dinghy magazine to contemplate for about 5 minutes before asking about the technology used and the added advantages of dove shaped spreaders! kite sheets are a glorious invention of one continuous loop of rope onto which is sewn another short section and then looped onto that a tail to tie the kite on with thus allowing it to flop round the forestay far more easily than any big bobbles or knots. The kicker could also be turned into one continuous string, though I have not had time to do this, and survive by tying the 2 tails together.
there are toes straps fore and aft for those days when trapezing is unnecessary, and for the days when its a bit more lively twin trapeze and the ultimately long tiller extension which you can cut to a length to suit, its probably a little on the long side, but does make it possible for the crew to steer from the trapeze when I need to have a rest!
The boat has 2 kites, both the same size, one slightly fuller than the other, but both the same size overall. both of which have a many seasons left in them as I have cared for them quite well, and never left them stuffed in their bags.
the jib is of good condition too, and the main is fine as well. however the main does have a hole in it beside the cherub logo caused by the upper spreaders (on an exceedingly windy return from the Solent in a force 6) which have not been altered though this doesn't matter in a normal amount of breeze.
The boat has a high aspect rig, which makes it exceedingly quick over flat water inland, and has proved to be extremely fun to sail on the sea as well. She comes with both over and under covers, which is unusual for a cherub, especially when they are in as good condition as these with care they could last another few seasons! The boat itself was built to weight, and when re weighed at the nationals this year was just about heavy enough to class as a cherub (possibly with the added rainwater that had collected in the bow overnight, but I wasn't there at the time!) this makes her a great boat to contemplate converting in the future as it would be possible to do it without turning her into a battleship! Obviously the price reflects the imperfections in the boat, as well as the many positive features that she has, including the halyards that mean you don't have to roll the boat over just to put the sails up, and you can launch just like any other boat without getting to wet before you start from the launching trolley. There is a double trailer available to go with the boat for an additional £500, but otherwise sweet dreams is for sale for £2600.
If you want to come and see the boat on either of the next 2 Sundays please let me know, but as I work in the entertainment industry I don't currently know when I am and am not working thereafter, though that should get sorted relatively soon ( I hope!) . I will almost certainly be in Birmingham between the 26th and 31st of December. The boat is based in the west midlands at a small sailing club near the NEC easy access from the M42, but I'm based in London!
Hope to speak soon!
