I have paid much attention to three sailing crafts that hold desirable traits to move the design of sailing crafts toward breaking many barriers. I have incorporated the designs of the Moth, Tri-Foiler and Hydroptere to create a light, single crew, inexpensive and stable or easy to manage foil sailboat.
The Moth seems to be more difficult to sail than your average windsurfer yet rides through chop at impressive speeds including up wind. Stability depends on a well balanced and agile sailor.
The Tri-Foiler is large, expensive, and rides partially (the two forward supports) on top of the surface suffering breakage due to speeds and vibrations in choppy conditions.
The Hydroptere will be very expensive and takes a multi-manned crew to sail yet is stable even in big seas with its shock absorbing foils.
Taking the best attributes of each and combining them into the design above will create an inexpensive, easy to sail and transport speed machine. The design is closest to the Moth incorporating a tri-foil system utilizing the same technology with "whips" feeling the surface and adjusting for a flat stable ride. What do you think?

oH LA LA l'usine à gaz que c'est
Je suis un peu mort de rire. junky1;
