To be honest I don't know anything about it.
The Finn Association have at times toyed with a new design.
We did have some trials in Spring 2000 for a possible singlehanded dinghy for 2008 Olympics but that has fizzled away.
The President of the IOC is a former President of the IFA, so I think the pressure is off the Finn, the latest move from the IOC seems to be pressure to ditch keelboats on the basis of cost of cranes etc.
