Dear Sir,

The race organization committee is pleased to provide you the racing
calendar for 2004. The winner of this tour will be the European Champion. As
decided in our last vote of November, the tour will contains 5 events, with
one discard.

20-23th May : Portugal Grand-Prix (Cascais)

For the first event of the season, the tour will go to the South of Europe.
Cascais is a quite windy place and was in the last 4 locations selected for
organizing the Americas Cup 2007, so don't forget your small rig !

As the last time we went Portugal, the transportation of boat will be
organized for free, using truck or/and containers. There will be 4 picking
points in Europe (North Germany, Konstanz, Italy, UK) for the skiff. The
accomodation will be for free and the organizer is trying to find some
additional sponsors to pay for the flight tickets for teams.

6-13th June : Palau -> Sardinia Grand-Prix (Palau)

For the second event, we will receive some Australian et US teams racing the
International Championship. This event takes the place of Carnac.

There will be a possibility for having a transportation from Portugal to
Sardinia instead of having the boat back and going then to Sardinia. The
organizers are working hard to find money to pay the Ferry and accomodation.
You will receive more informations soon.

13-15th August : Danish Grand-Prix (Sonderborg)

Then we are invited by the club of Sonderborg (and Flemming) to race in
Demark (it's really in south of Denmark), during the anniversary of the
club.

20-22th August : Italian Grand-Prix (Campione)

One week after, we are moving to our "home", Campione ! As usually, wind,
girls and party ! I'm sure many of us have the nice long distance race still
in mind.

As last year, we will try to organize some training race during the week
before for the teams who want to come straight from Sonderborg.

17-19th September : German Grand-Prix (Molveno)

Molveno will be the final of the Tour. Probably everything will be for free.
We still have a small "doubt" regarding the date, but it should be even
during the week-end of 17-19 or during the next one (24-26).

We really hope you will enjoy this tour. During the next week, a new event
website will be published and you will find here all the informations
regarding fees, transportation, accomodation, … You will also have the
possibility to enter online and pay the deposit. On the same website, there
will be informations for media and so on.

This website will be GrandPrix.18footer.org . You will be informed as
soon as the website will be online

Best regards
Patrick
