Australian sailboat hardware manufacturer Ronstan International announced that it has acquired the business of Frederiksen Boat Fittings of Vejle, Denmark.

The Frederiksen range of precision engineered blocks, traveller systems and batten car systems is recognised for innovative design engineering, uncompromising quality and absolute reliability. The company has supplied the deck hardware for the top boats in the Vendée Globe and the Whitbread Round the World Race, and the batten systems for every boat in the race for the Volvo Trophy now underway.

Ronstan manufactures and distributes a broad range of sailboat hardware and rigging products that are exported to more than 40 countries. Ronstan’s strengths in marketing and international distribution have made it a leading international brand in the high performance dinghy & small keelboat market, and are expected to boost demand for Frederiksen products world-wide.

“Frederiksen’s manufacturing capabilities and products are the perfect complement to Ronstan’s,” said Alistair Murray, Managing Director of Ronstan. “Our combined strengths will enable us to provide our customers world-wide with an exceptional range of great products, with applications from dinghies to superyachts. We’re excited”.

The Danish company brings a strategic balance to Ronstan’s activities in Australia and North America, while providing Ronstan with a manufacturing facility in the European Union and a support base for its considerable European activities. Company founder Gert Frederiksen will have an ongoing role in the business, contributing engineering and product development expertise.

Louis Sander, currently completing a 3 year assignment in Australia as Ronstan’s Marketing and Development Director, will return to Europe to assume responsibility for Ronstan’s European operations including the Danish company.

Ils ne cessent pas la distribution qd même ?

Pas du tout mais Ronstan, c'est pas une très bonne marque de poulies et Fred , c'est la meilleure pour les grosses poulies...
Esperons que ils se feront pas trop influencer par Ronstan dans leur design sinon les poulies vont prendre 1kg et casser plus souvent!

Ils avaient surtout des poulies winch qui buttent !!!
